Snow day / ​Emergency Closing Procedure

F.W.O. SNOW DAY – EMERGENCY CLOSING PROCEDURES
In the event of a closing or 2 hour delay at Freedom Work Opportunities, Inc. we will have announcements on the following media; by 7:00 a.m.
Television/Radio Channels Include:

Detroit         Detroit         Flint             Flint           93.5

On-Line Include:

What to look/hear for: 
“Freedom Work – Oakland”: this is for those who report to our Highland and the Waterford locations (Oakland County)

WNEM shows us as “Freedom Work Opp Ctr”
“Freedom Work – Grand Blanc”:  this is for those who report to our Fenton Rd location (Genesee county)

Note: after the location, it will state “closed” or “2 hour delay” or “staff ONLY are to report to ____ @ 12n”
 (If you do not see/hear your assigned location, then you are to report to work as scheduled. **Note there is a Freedom Work in Flushing/Genesee Co. that IS NOT us, so make sure you see your site noted above)

In the event of a 2 hour delay:
·               Everyone will begin work 2 hours later than what they would begin on any other standard day
·               Routes will run 2 hours later than the original pick up time
Miscellaneous Information:
·      The route drivers will no longer be calling individual homes.
·      If a consumer is kept home because of inclement weather, but the workshop is open, PLEASE call your route driver ASAP.  (If you need your route drives # call our Transportation Director – Hugh Dearing @ (248)770-1139
 ·      For the safety of the passengers, our drivers may not be able to travel certain roads – If they feel it is unsafe they will notify you at that time.
